INI SHARK Magazine
The Larry Lee Ray Band (AKA) Larry Lee Ray, And The Tradesman, are a blues rock trio from Ohio, consisting of Larry Lee Ray, Luke Ray, and Rex Weible, with a new full-length album On The Right Track, which never veers of the hot rails. The LP is full of cool guitar work and swings between great storytelling, blues, classic rock, and southern rock. On The Right Track kicks off with “I’m a Blue Collar Man” and right away the grit of the guitar reaches out and grabs you and you know it’s going to be good, and once he starts singing it takes you back to the blues rock days of Jeff Healy
Melody Maker Magazine
The Larry Lee Ray Band’s On The Right Track is a bluesy rock album with a songwriter feel mixed with decades of musical wisdom, and ten brilliant songs to prove it with music influenced by everything from 60s blues and rock of the Beatles to much later blues territory such as Stevie Ray Vaughan and players of the same ilk. The songs go from one extreme to another without losing their sense of belong together, and they all take some time to absorb, but once you get it, you’re hooked and just want to play this truly album all night.
HOLLYWOOD DIGEST
Inspired by the working-class life, On The Right Track is the debut album by The Larry Lee Ray Band, and it comes recommended for its variety of blues, country and traditional rock styles, all which suit his band The Tradesman right down to the ground. The searing guitars of Ray are met with Rex Weible and Luke Ray, together making them a blues-rock power trio to reckon with, and On The Right Track serves up a stunning amalgam of numbers that never fall onto the wrong track, as they all rock equally but in their own different little enjoyable ways.
